| Here is one of the
most beautiful and original 1961 Airstream Bambi Trailers you'll
ever find! This trailer has been in Colorado -a dry climate
state - since new. This means there is little to no damage due to moisture! This Bambi is
in just amazing condition and is one of the finest original,
well cared for
trailers you'll ever find!
There's no such thing as a
cheap and easy restore - but if there were, this would be it!
There's not a lot wrong with the trailer, and a whole lot that
is right. Did I say that its nearly all original? I've run the polisher over this once,
and with a little more elbow grease, I fully believe you'll get
that incredible mirror shine!
This Bambi is ready to
roll now - is smoke free - and looks awesome going down the
road! A real head turner...

ITEMS
NEEDING ATTENTION:
-
Windows need new seals all around
(silicon has been added to keep moisture out)
-
Fridge needs propane burner - not sure if it runs on
electric
-
You
could go with new cushions, or maybe have the existing ones
professionally cleaned and new foam installed (old foam is a
bit brittle)
-
More
polishing for that mirror-like shine w/ minimal pitting
-
Waste system will need attention, but I'm not sure how much.
I do know it hasn't been used for a long time and it looks
like some of it has been replaced with PVC (some that is
cracked/broken underneath)
-
Looks like a blowout tore some aluminum street-side by wheel
well (see photo gallery). You could leave as is, or creatively fix
it!
-
LP tank
valves (or tanks) will need to be changed out
-
There is some minor hail damage on the very top of the roof
(not on the sides)
-
Trailer is basically very clean and you could stock it and
take it out the very weekend you get it!
